To reach
the necessary temperature of 28 – 30°C
as well as the brightest light, you need to
use HQL or HQI – spotlights. They should be used to
create a sunny place. They are to be put into a place the animals cannot reach
to avoid burns. Ultraviolet lamps are an additional but unnecessary element
of the terrarium, as long as the chameleon gets enough calcium.
Reducing
the temperature at night for 5°C to 8°C is very important. Reduction of light
and temperature in combination with resting times
are basic conditions for
reproduction.
Heating
stones,
plates and cables are not supposed to be
part of a terrarium!
